CLA INSiGHT is a non-invasive computerized test that allows our doctors to get a baseline of how your body is reacting to life's stressors. It measures how your nervous system communicates with the muscles, organs, glands & tissues of the body and how your nervous system adapts to stress.
These scans allow us to accurately detect dysfunction in your nervous system beyond what you may be feeling or experiencing symptomatically.
They are incredibly informative tests that are safe and gentle for the entire family — even newborns!
In our everyday life, our nervous systems perceive and are having to adapt:
The INSiGHT scans are made up of the three most important spinal-neural tests: Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Surface EMG, and Thermal. These 3 tests together give us an visible representation of how your body is handling stress. — which work together to tell us how stress is impacting your overall health and well-being.
Your heart rate variability, or HRV, scan measures how your nervous system is adapting to the environment around you. This lets us know if you’re stuck in a stressed mode "fight or flight" due to one of the three T's as listed above. Or is your body better able to adapt? With this tool we are able to take a deeper look at how well your body is functioning.
sEMG scans assess how the nerves are communicating with the muscles that maintain posture. This test focuses on assessing the amount of energy needed to maintain your posture, as well as how the energy is distributed throughout your body. It gives us a picture of overall nervous system function.
Thermal scans take temperatures along either side of your spine. In the same way that the skin around a healing cut will get hot, our nerves give off a heat response when there is interference. Temperature is used as an indicator for where stress is building up in your body and how it may be affecting the function of your organs, glands, and blood vessels
Together, the three tools formulate your COREscore. The COREscore rates the overall stress on your nervous system, and provides a simple measure in the form of a number ranging between 0-100. The higher the number reported, the better!
A subluxation is an area of stress in the nervous system (brain, spinal cord, nerves) causing an interference or disconnect between the brain and body.
Subluxations can occur at any stage in life. Causes of subluxation can be physical, emotional or chemical. AKA the 3 T’s: Thoughts, Traumas & Toxins.
Thoughts:
Your thoughts and emotions have a direct impact on your physiology. Have you ever been so nervous for a test/presentation/event that you felt your your stomach get upset? This is a classic example of how your thoughts can be manifested physically. Now, imagine having emotional stress or negative thoughts weekly or even daily and how detrimental this could be for your health. Stress commonly comes from work, family, and personal life.
Traumas:
Commonly thought of as the only reason to see a chiropractor but actually only play 1/3 role in causing a subluxation. Microtraumas include driving your car, typing on a computer, texting, bending, and lifting among other daily activities. Macrotraumas include car accidents, falls, moving furniture, childbirth, etc. Repetitive stress on the body’s joints can manifest in different ways making things like posture and work ergonomics important.
Toxins:
These are things that we consume whether intentional or not. Eating foods that are inflammatory such as fried or processed foods, added sugars, preservatives & additives can increase inflammation in the body. When there are increased inflammatory markers in the blood, you are more likely to feel pain and the body will have increased stress and not be able to heal as easily. Other examples of toxins include the use of personal care items, cosmetics, artificial fragrances, plastics and many more!
The one and most effective subluxation treatment is a chiropractic adjustment.
The primary goal of chiropractic care is to maintain a healthy nervous system by reducing stress in the body. Chiropractors are trained in localizing, analyzing, and adjusting subluxations to reduce the amount of stress in the system. Since the brain (nervous system) controls every organ, tissue, and cell in the body, removing interferences (subluxations) will lead to optimal body function and improved overall wellness.
During pregnancy, a woman can experience headaches, ankle swelling, low back pain, carpal tunnel pain, hip pain, pubic pain, etc. These symptoms are alarming you body that it is not functioning optimally and is not adapting to changes in the environment within your body. Visiting the chiropractor will allow a woman's pregnancy to go a lot smoother and be a lot more comfortable. It is proven to be safe and will not harm the growing fetus. In fact, not only the mother, but also the child she is bearing will benefit.
The pelvis is very important when it comes to pregnancy, but the rest of the spine and extremities are also important for optimal function. The nervous system is in charge of every single cell in the body, and chiropractors help to remove interference to the nervous system. Pregnant women need the best possible environment within their body to create the best environment for their growing baby.
It is safe to receive adjustments during anytime of a mother's term. Patients may be seen anywhere from 1-39+ weeks. It is never too late or too early to come get adjusted! Once your child is born, they can safely receive adjustments as soon as their first week of life outside the womb!
- improve back, pelvic, sciatic, and other types of discomfort
- create a safer, more comfortable labor and birth
- shorter labor and birth time
- directly affects the baby's developing nervous system
-restore the power to birth by removing interference to the brain body connections so that peek birth physiology may be achieved
- promotes optimal fetal position.
There are endless reasons for why one should receive chiropractic care. This type of medicine is designed for all types of people, ages, and conditions. It helps treat current issues, but also prevents future ones from occurring. It enhances your body's innate ability to heal itself.
Here are some more reasons for why you should get adjusted:
Immune System Function
When the nervous system is not working properly, different parts of the body are not receiving vital signals necessary to function. This leads to improper functioning of the immune system. Recovering from illness quicker and remaining healthy is seen when the immune system is working. The main way to ensure your systems are in check is to be adjusted and remove subluxation from your spinal cord.
Improved Sleep
Many people are not sleeping well due to pain, stress, and overall body aches. Proper spinal alignment leads to decreased pain while in bed. Sleep is improved over time and patients report increased pain relief and overall increased health and wellness.
Stress Relief
The nervous system is responsible for sending pain signals to the brain from different parts of the body. When the spine is not properly aligned, signals are interrupted and the entire body can feel the effect. This can cause mental and physical stress over the entire body. A balanced body leads to less tension and stress. A well adjusted body allows a person to manage stress better.
Posture Improvement
The curve in the neck is particularly delicate and can develop issues due to computer overuse or texting constantly. Chiropractic treatments, over time, can help realign the neck and spine to improve posture and relieve pain.

Studies show that 9 out of 10 Americans experience headaches in their lives. They are becoming increasingly common from the sedentary lifestyle most people live. Staying on one position for many hours puts stress on the neck. Other causes may include foods, environmental stimuli (noises, lights, stress, etc.) and/or behaviors (insomnia, excessive exercise, blood sugar changes, etc.
How does Chiropractic Care Help With Headaches?Great question. While this type of pain is different for everyone, the solution is the same. Spinal manipulation improves bodily function and alleviates stress on your nervous system. This helps decrease the intensity and frequency of headaches. Same goes for migraines.
